Sawmill

Our Sawmill is based on the historic Nannau Estate just outside Dolgellau. We operate the sawmill by appointment only. Once you have booked your time slot we will arrange for you to drop off your timber – we have construction telehandlers to move the trunks so all you have to do is bring them to us. You are welcome to wait as we mill, or come back for your boards.

We stock a range of milled Welsh hardwoods and softwoods, as well as firewood and wood chip with new stock added regularly. Our stock of hardwoods is ever-changing so please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss your build. Whether you know exactly what you’re looking for or just have an idea you’d like to build on our knowledgeable team can advise.

We are fully insured and our team are trained to NPTC City and Guilds standards. As a legal obligation and condition of insurance we work to BS3988, which offers guidelines on tree work and management options for established trees. We continuously invest in staff training and strictly adhere to safe working practice.
